Recently the Consumer Credit Act (Green Deal) Regulations (2012) were laid in Parliament – they’ll come into effect when the scheme launches on the 28th January 2013. Among the things it covers is early repayment. Consumers will be allowed to pay back their Green Deal loan at any point, either partially or fully. There are also measures to limit the fee that customers can be charged by Providers for early repayment. The fee is calculated using a simple formula:
